Hi all,
I had my procedure done today. Wanted to give a recap of what went on and how it went.
Well, the bowel prep procedure I have to admit wasn't pleasant. Spending most of yesterday sat on the pan resulted in a very sore arse.
Turned up at the hospital this morning and I was petrified. So much so I almost fainted just talking to the nurse. I managed to pull myself together enough to get undressed and get into the rather fetching gown they provide.
So into the room, and the doc inserted the cannula into my vain. I didn't like that bit as I hate needles. But got through that ok.
The procedure itself? Well it was absolutely fine. Didn't remember much about it at all and was back home in 3 hours.
The staff were fantastic, and for a moment I almost just went home, but I'm glad I done it and that nothing sinister was found. They took 2 biopsies to check for coeliac disease so awaiting the results in 3 weeks.
If I can do it, anyone can do it.
