Worried about throat/glands

My glands have been up for 4/5 weeks now and in that time I have almost a daily sore throat and throat pain especially when swallowing.

I don't smoke and only drink now and again (once every 2 weeks).

Yeah nearly 2 weeks ago, not much said really apart from it should settle down or could be an infection but it's dragging on a bit now, might go back and see him this week.

I used to get sore throats all the time but not anymore.

You may need some anti-biotics for it

I always thought it was dodgy or suspicious if you had glands up or sore throats for over a certain period of time?
