..the doctor sends my urine sample to the hospital for tests?

I rang this morning saying I have been peeing alot recently and have little pain around my belly button. I said i think it may be a UTI, so she was going to give me something for it but i then said i may be pregnant because me and hubby are trying so she said to hand in a urine sample tomorrow morning and they will send to the hospital for tests.

I am freaking out now, what if its something serious like my kidneys. I wont be able to sleep tonight :(

It is normal to send it to the hospital to get full testing done so don't worry.

Don't worry, they always send your urine off to hospital if they suspect urine infection.

They send it away to determine what infection it is as there are a few , Its just so you get the right antibiotic
