View Full Version : Is it safe to take ibruprofen wit esc ?

Hi all,

The nhs direct told me its not advisable to take ibruprofen or asprin with these meds but it doesnt say so on the leaflet ?
Does anyone know about this ?

Aww thanks serenetie so would you take ibruprofen ? Wonder why nhs advised not to ?

There is no mention of Ibuprofen. Why not ring your local chemist and get advice from the pharmacist? I've always found pharmacists to be really helpful and knowledgeable :yesyes:

Just got an experience with iubrofen and cipralex today, I took one and got edgy from 1 collegue telling me something that I took in a bad way even though there was nothing bad from what he said. Got anxiety for 6 hours.

My doc says no ibuprofen but acetaminophen (paracetomol in UK) is fine. Best to check with the chemist or your doc to be sure.

I didn't know that you can't have grapefruit juice with this kind of medication (not that I drink grapefruit juice very often anyway, but it's useful to know).

i have ibuprofin once in a while and no issues. wouldn't overdo it though.
