headaches :(

ive just started taking amitriptyline 10mg for tension headaches and mild anxiety im 12 days in and touch wood no nasty side effects but today ive woken up with the worst headache that wont shift last week i felt brilliant and was thinking great ive found something that works with no side effects and because today ive woken up with this headache im now worried they arent working should i up the dose i have been told i can take up to 3 a night but im worried if i go up ill get the side effects, im back at work now and dont want to have to have any time of as it is today is gonna kill me with the head pain
is it to early to say 10mg is gonna work should i wait out abit longer ???
any advice appreciated also any good reviews
