I came down a few years ago from 40 to 20 and just had a few head zaps, no biggie and they feel very weird, but then I came off all together, once again head zaps and nothing else....however the start up effects have been tries bad this time.

Slowly is the way to go, if you need advice on tapering visit paxilprogress they are experts on there and you dont want a protracted withdrawel.

Good luck! In the past I always seemed to go from 20 to 10 quite happily, it was just the coming off 10 where after a few months the symptoms returned.

Keep us posted with how you get on!

Hi.
Good luck for tomorrow.
My Daughter has been on 20mg since a relapse 2months ago the Dr uped them to 30mg a week ago as she wasn't getting better.she see's her Dr tomorrow .I just want her to be well and Happy again.I am going to get her on here to talk ,hopefully she will see that life is worth living.

I'm so happy for you that you are at the point where you can lower your dose, you muct be doing well.
Did you do anything else like cbt or therapy?

i felt it was time to try life again... had some councilling....was ok..

How are you feeling now that you are down to 10mg on alternate days? I am at a similar stage of my tapering off programme - since Friday last week I've been on 5mg a day as I prefer cutting the tablet in half rather than having a whole one on alternate days.
