My throat looks like it has lots of white patches at the back and sides of my throat and I'm worried about this plus i am finding it uncomfortable to swallow and it doesn't feel right, I have to admit I have been having a lot of throat issues and soreness the last 5-6 weeks and it is worrying me.

Hi there

I watched a medical programme about last week and there was a girl on there with the same thing.

Basically, they told her that the little white lumps were food particals that get cought in the nodules on the tonsils.

Apparently this can cause bad breath etc.

Try gargling with some mouthwash to move the ickle boogers.

Thanks for your reply but I mean proper white patches right at the back and sides of the throat behind where the tonsils are, I don't have any tonsils but thank you for helping.

It is probably tonsilitis but I am not a doctor so can't really diagnose.

If they don't go see the doc and if necessary he can give you antibiotics.

It could be oral thrush. I am suffering with it at the moment due to using an inhaler. Best to go get it checked out first to make sure you will be treating the right condition. I doubt if it is anything for you to get worried about.

Not sure if you still looking for replies but i had this 6 years ago, when i was in an major anxiety period. I lived in the UK then. I have also noticed fhose white spots on the back of my throat, but i had no pain or anything. I saw GP and he was also surprised but then told me to rinse, and very slowly it went away.
