Do you ever feel guilty?

I just wondered if anyone else ever feels guilty about being anxious and down? I know I do sometimes. Before this current episode started, everything in my life was going so well - I'd just been offered a new job, doing what I always wanted to do. I have a supportive loving family and a relatively comfortable lifestyle, so I sometimes wonder why this has happened to me? I mean, there are many people in this country who have much harder lives than me yet they don't seem to get anxious or depressed!

Hey Sparkle,

I wouldn't say I feel guilty about feeling anxious but it really frustrates me. I have nothing to be anxious about I'm pretty much in the same boat got a great job which I love and a cool life as well outside of work with good friends but feel like this!!! Why why why is what keeps going through my head.

One thing I DO feel very guilty about however is missing work. I've been off work for the last week as I just can't face working feeling like this and feel like I have let my colleagues down etc...

Yes I feel guilty about having to take time off work as well. Before this current episode, the only other days I've ever taken off work have been for severe colds and flu, and thankfully it's quite rare that I get those.
