I made it home to see my family !

:D I finally achieved one of the big things I was aiming to do, which was to make it up north to see my family.

Admittedly I did stay in a hotel overnight to break the journey in half, but I did it.

[8D] So here is my postcard from County Durham ...

[8D] Greetings from County Durham!
The weather today was warm and sunny.

Today we went to diggerland and spent the whole day messing about in JCB diggers. We rode on them, caught rubber ducks with them and dug large holes with them. It was magic!:D

I did have the odd scary moment, (caused by a JCB train going fast over lots of bumps off road) but the deep breathing helped a lot.

Afterwards we went to Blyth, I collected shells on the beach, took more photographs and burst into tears when I discovered the horror of the caravan park, (where I spent every holiday from being a baby to teenager) it looked like it had been ripped apart by a hurricane and been used as a rubbish dump.
I was heartbroken that a place I loved so much could be left in such a dreadful condition.[:0]:([V]
If I ever win the lottery I will buy it and turn it back just the way it used to be, if not better!

I wonder what tomorrow will have in store for me !

Don't worry Darren you will make it on hoilday one day soon.

Diggerland sounds brilliant...takes me back to my tomboy youth...lol

The Weather today was sunshine and showers.

I took a great photograph of a rainbow that was right over the house.
I also did a bit of shopping in Washington, which to be truthful was dreadful. It was hot and busy, really claustrophobic. When I got home I fell fast asleep for an hour to recover.

Steve left me to head back to work.
For some reason it total freaked me out and I started panicing.
Mum and Steve were really supportive and I was back to my usual self in no time.

Oh well I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Today I walked to Old North Lodge with mum and the kids and we took some photos.
Then we went on the bus to go shopping and had dinner

I then put mum and Al on the bus and Sam and I walked then we got the bus and walked to take more photos.
And showed Sam around my old school and told him about the time I went there.

All in all not a bad day !

The Weather today was sunshine and showers (again!)

Today we went on the bus to Durham for a nice bit of shopping and a look around the catherdral. - And boy did I shop! :D It was just so great to look at stuff.

Al and Sam played up something terrible, I could feel my sanity slipping!
Several squirts of rescue remedy later, and I felt better.
I even managed to take more photos.

I wonder what I am going to do tomorrow? Even more photos perhaps.

Last day of the holiday - almost time to go home.

Sunny today :D
Went shopping to Newcastle got some stottie (northern bread) for sandwiches on the train.
Definately the worst day so far. I was so hot and depersonalized, I felt so spaced out and ill. But I did it.
Now all that is left to do is get the train home.
