Is this normal?

Today is the first day of what I assume to be a head cold or sinus infection. I have been feeling out of sorts since about Friday, and since then have been noticing my heart has been beating way faster. It gets faster when I eat, and since I have been sick, my resting heart rate is in the high 90's. Could this be due to being ill? I have never heard of anything like this before. Thanks.

Normal range is 40 to 100 for resting I think so that's still within normal range x

My resting rate now is 109. I'm trying everything, deep breathing, coughing, etc... Nothing is working.
I am only 22 but I am overweight. My family doesn't really have a history of heart problems.
