Newbie to depression

Hi, I am a 55 year old mum of 3 boys, who is just starting to come out of a bad bout of depression, never been depressed before, and didnt know the hell that suffererers go through. been through a bad time these last 12month and events got the better of me. Been off work 4 month and have suffered side effects on fluoxetiene. Found this forum and it gave me hope. Thank you
