Night Terrors

Took 2mg of diazepam earlier and fell asleep, just woke up after having a night terror. My heart was racing, I was punching the couch (fell asleep on the couch) and was really terrified.

I keep having these more and more and don't know what to do about them. I've got a psychology appointment in a couple of weeks.

My sister has these often. She takes a beta blocker before bed to prevent it now. Could it maybe be from the medication too?

My psychologist has a big interest in my dreams and night time activities, she thinks there could be a link to my behaviour and thoughts and feelings during the day. I don't suffer with night terrors, just recurring nightmares and vivid dreams. I think it would be worth discussing it with your psychologist, he/she may be able to help you with it. Good luck xx
