Is anyone else paranoid about chemicals in paint, furniture and everything else?

Hi all
I've just started CBT as I want to get my health anxiety under control. Right now my main issues are worries about chemicals in paint, furniture and just about everything else!
I realise it's almost impossible to eliminate chemicals in every day life but whenever I google about chemicals in paint or furniture I scare myself.
I really hope CBT helps.
I just wondered if anyone else was concerned about these sorts of things.

Sounds a bit like OCD, contamination fear or health anxiety fear that the chemicals will make you ill.

I have a fear of having a bad alergic reaction to new products, like shampoo, makeup, anything really. I compromise by testing out a small amount first to see if I have any reaction lol.

I also hate paint fumes, they make my head hurt and I feel dizzy.
I couldn't sleep in my bedroom for days after I had it painted, as I could smell the paint :p
