Spoiled beets? - i'm freaking out

Hi, it's me again :(

I ate grated beets with a bit of lemon juice today... a few teaspoons maybe. They were prepared on Saturday and put into jar, closed in the fridge. I think they tasted a bit odd... but I ate them. And now I'm freaking out that they could have been poisoned or something... I'm so afraid :( Please help. Could such beets be spoiled after 2 days?

If the were bad they'd be mouldy and rotten.
Slightly off, won't make you sick. It's not the same as meat.

Geez... I've been finding my behaviour odd recently... very odd :( I'm so afraid about small portion of beets... This is so ridiculous. One year ago I would think "Oh, well, eventually I'll have my night sc*ewed" or just forget about it, but now... I'm cautious about the smallest thing...
