second time round

I have been doing some reading on if ssris can fail when you try to take them for a second time, especially if its close to when you came off them recently>

Has anyone heard anything or have any experience with this? Citalopram was fine for me and this time its shattered me to peices and I have terrible depression after 7 weeks on it

I have also read that even a change to a different brand name of the same drug can help, any ideas people?

I am on citalopram for the second time and they havent failed me yet. Been on them nearly 2 years this year.

Change of brand hasnt made a difference to me either - generally these drugs are made to the same standard, just like when you buy a bottle of squash..

Hi my physchatrist actually admitted to me that sometimes ADs don't work aswell or at all second time around i came off cit last june and then tried to go back on it sept and went through 4 months of hell before i was changed and then had to be changed again xx
