Frequent urination :(((

Hi guys

Me again with this irritating frequent urination problem!!

Had all tests and I haven't got anything physically wrong apparently!!

My doc says is anxiety which I struggle to believe some days.

Does anyone get this?? If so any tips for stopping it??

It seems worse in the morning, I can go 4 times in an hour then it will settle down a bit! Do u think coffee and tea would do this as I have 3 cups in a morning!

Hi Jayne, tea and coffee is a diuretic so yeah it does make you urinate a lot. Tea & coffee go straight through me it's normal. Water is best to hydrate yourself.

3 cups is a bit excessive I just have the 1 in the morning and maybe around lunch time and another cuppa in the evening not before bed though!

i urinate loads times threw day myself
even though im male and have enlarged prostrate slightly
the urology deparment said thry thin oer active bladder
which i no you can get from anxiety ..
so it well could be just a case of your bladder overactive ?

Thanks guys, I'll try an drink less coffee and tea and more water, and yeah I have heard that anxiety can cause this but I sometimes think its something else!!

I've had trouble with this since taking Fluoxetine. I've also cut down my water and coffee intake :blush:

Hi there do u thinks its a side effect of your medication then or just anxiety? My doc tried to give them to me! X

It is a classic anxiety symptom. On the Hamilton Anxiety Questionnaire written in 1959 it was referred to as "frequent micturation."
