hi joy,

i have been on mirtazapine for 2 years as it was the only one that worked for me and i found it to be a great help, i have now been off my anti d's for 2 weeks now and i am feeling good.

only you know if you want to take them but i was at my lowest point in my life and at breaking point and i was just so relieved to find something that worked for me and helped me gain some weight.

take care

Hi I have been on Mirtazapine for about a year now, currently combined with Venlafaxine although I am currently being weaned off the Venlafaxine as my psychiatrist wants to try something else.

The only problem I experienced was a feeling of dizziness when I first started on it, but this only lasted for the first couple of weeks and then passed.

I was started on it to try and help me sleep better as I was only getting about 10 hours sleep in a week, the majority of the time it does help me to sleep.

Like all anti-depressants though it's not right for everyone and while it may work for one person it might not work for the next. The best advice I can give is to at least give it a try and see if it works for you.

Good luck

Mandy
