My mum went for a few days in the summer, she really enjoyed herself & said the accomodation was fine. She didn't catch any bugs.
Some people look for any little thing to critise, how did she know she caught the bug at butlins?
If you're still concerned just take some liquid medicated soap with you n wash your hands more regularly than you would normally, you should be fine.
Have a good time x

I've been to Butlins in Skegness 4 times in total with a friend and her family. We haven't been since 2006, but I thought it was reasonably clean and I didn't catch any bugs while I was there. Some of the older chalet blocks look a bit shabby from the outside, but indoors they are OK. The only thing I didn't like was some of the food in the onsite restaurant; I remember being given really fatty meat on several occasions. So it might be best to go self-catering or go to other restaurants in Skegness town.
thanks both really put my mind at ease
