I avoid watching the news because I hear things on there that worry me. But recently my Grandad came to visit, he doesn't know what I worry about, and he started talking to mum and I about what he'd seen on the news. He said people were getting salmonella from eating some of Cadbury's chocolate bars. I hadn't known about this and I've looked on the net and I can't find anything to reassure me that it's safe to eat chocolate.

I worry about been ill and have emetophobia and I'm scared if I eat any chocolate I could get salmonella. Also tonight my boyfriend has tried to convince me chocolate is ok to eat by eating some himself. But now I'm also worried he may get ill.

Does anyone know of anything that can reassure me about this?

Thank you,

They removed all contaminated batches straight away so you are safe to eat it.

There were notices in most shops and supermarkets to reassure people that they had gone.

You will be fine ok so go and enjoy that chocolate now lol

Yea believe me, they acted immediately. It wouldn't have been in their interest to leave anyone open to infection once the news broke.
