I've been getting seriously sore heads, to the point were I find it difficult to walk. I'm dizzy most of the time and get light headed from bending down and standing back up. I get shaking in my legs and shoulders and feel a kind of numbness in the back of my head.
I've been on diazapam for about 4 months (just 6Mg a day) for anxiety and tried Escitalopram, but had to give them up last Sunday (after 3 weeks) due to feeling sooooo bad I was on the brink of just lying in bed all day and giving up work.
I have a 5 year old daughter and am really scared I won't be around to take care of her. It's bad enough at the moment as I find it really hard to take her anywhere as I feel so bad all the time.
Someone please help.

iv been through this i had cronic head aches and dizzyness as well as stange feelings around my head worked out to be bad tension headaches and adrenalin rush as i was always thinking about it. if yur that scared you should try going to get a eye exam this will show if there is any pressure in your scull as if there is it changes something in the back of the eye. thats what i did twice came back clear both times. now i get pain in my back and hips so i think i have cancer there now but i went to the doctor today and he had a look and said iv had bloods done x-rays of the chest done and loads of phisical examination all fine he explained how its all do to with the adrenalin in your body caused by stress ie what they call fight or flight mode. Try not to worry i know its easyer said than done .

Yh , go to the opticians , they can tell you if there is cranial pressure anywhere in your head

Thatnks for the advise. I did go to the optician yesterday and had a full eye exam. Everything showed OK. I told the optician before hand I was having headaches and he checked everything, so no pressure on the brain thankfully.
I went to the doctor yesterday and he's now put me on Amitripyline for the tension headaches. Hopefully these have an effect soon, although I'm always sceptical of new drugs, I have read up on this and it seems to be the best thing for my symptoms.

If you've been on the same dose of diazepam for 4 months it's no longer effective at relieving your anxiety, just so you know. Benzodiazepines are not meant to treat anxiety in the long term like some antidepressants do.

my son has that drug for tension headaches and it works well for him. He had awful symptoms to the extreme of feeling trapped in his head and unable to socialise with anyone or stay around much noise. As he also developed migraines at a similar time where he loses the sight in one eye he was convinced he had something seriously wrong. But it has all been checked and put down to tension and that drug relieves it.
Take care.

Thanks rockydog, that's a great relief to me. Glad it helped your son so much.
