Hi all
My health Anxiety has gone into overdrive in the last couple of days.
I bought some new oak furniture which had a slight smell so I wanted something to absorb the smell till it goes away. I did a search on the internet and on Amazon bought some odour absorbers. They're Zeolite (a volcanic rock) gravel in a cloth bag. A tiny bit of the gravel fell out of one bag so I put it back in.
I've now read that Zeolite dust can cause lung cancer as they found a village where there was a lot of this dust around had more people with lung cancer than is normal. I'm now really scared. I didn't see any dust in the box or from the bags. I've now thrown them away in a plastic bag and hoovered like mad and washed the top of the bookcases where I'd put them.
I'm assuming you need to be exposed to a lot of the dust for a while before anything happens.
I'm so scared now.
I'm getting so tired of my health anxiety ruining and running my life.
I was worried about asbestos before then lead in paint then formaldehyde. My lung specialist (I've got mild asthma) has told me not to worry and enjoy life. I really want to.
Sorry for such a long post.
