Cipralex side effects again with increasing dose?

Hi all, my GP has just increased my dose of Cipralex from 5 mg to 10 mg. I had been coping well on 5 mg for a few months but some stressful events got the better of me and I began feeling panicky again. Now I am feeling sick, getting headaches, jittery but drowsy. Have other people found that they get side effects again when increasing the dose, and how long do they last?

Hi there,

This generally happens with all ADs and the side effects usually last 2-3 week but get progressively better after a week or so.

Stick with it and you'll soon start to notice an improvement.

I am on my third week of that drug and had the jittery/drowsy combo too. It's really annoying but it will get better.

They wont last as long this time.
