Why were you taken off them?

Hi.

I am on Citalopram when you were taken off them did you express any fears to your doctor of the consequences for you,the doctor patient relationship is a two way thing.

Just what reason did they give for withdrawal of Citalopram, sudden withdrwal can make any illness worse, you should ideally withdraw slowly.

If i can help please pm me or post a message.

All the best Richard.

little kyle.

I would go back to your GP sudden withdrawal from 20mg a day to nothing will make you feel worse ask them if they could put you on 10mg and withdraw slowly.

Why did they tell you they so suddenly withdrew all the dose at once was there something else.

In that case i suggest you make an appointment with your GP and ask why you were withdrawn all at once instead of in stages.

If you cannot relate to the GP you are seeing ask to see another in the surgery.

Whenever i have been taken off of medication for depression/anxiety they reduce it first as to withdraw it all at once can have a negative effect,as you are finding out.

Not any of my GPs have just stopped it straight off for that reason.
