Bisoprolol fumarate 1.25mg

Hi everyone,
just been prescribed the above for my anxiety [also taking 20mg Prozac]. The alternative was Valium and I didn't fancy that much:unsure: Anyone any experience of this drug? thanks Teresa

My husband takes this but he takes 5mg...He was prescribed them though because he has had 2 heart attacks. He does not suffer from anxiety. It is a beta blocker so you will have been prescribed a lower dose to help you to be less anxious. Beta blockers are often prescribed for anxiety.

I take it too...10mg once a day, been on it about 6 years...no problems here. Kitti :)

Hi Nicola,
just the usual - nerotic [sp] about side effects:ohmy:. I need to be able to keep working and it is hard to teach when riddled with anxiety. Have only recently gone back to prozac [4 weeks] after being on mirt for a few months [bad ankles etc but great for the anxiety].

Thanks guys,never keen on a new medicine [new to me that is]. I have quite high blood pressure as well so it should be of benefit. Just need to find the courage in the morning to take it.:blush:

They will help with your high blood pressure. My husband has taken them for 6 years and has had no side effects :)

Oh, forgot to say I also take anti d's and diazepam and function just fine.

No side effects for me but they can make you more tired as they slow the heart down.
