Hi,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Lisa from the USA. Have had PD for 35 years. Had my last big setback around 1997, but still get shaky and have minor setbacks from time to time. The worst of it for me was from 1977 to 1987. I took as needed Xanax for a while, but was never on medication. (I also have a medication phobia, as well as a vomiting phobia so have not done that since 1998).
I am divorced, have three grown kids, 2 grandchildren, and live alone. Closest family member is my youngest daughter, an hour and a half away from me in college. My mom passed away in 2004, and my dad lives 5 hours away but we are not close and do not really talk. My son and grand-kids live in Florida and I live near Washington, DC.
I am a customer service manager at an auto dealership. I have my own apartment with no roommates but I do have society finches and an 8 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
