About a month ago I had to under go an MRI Scan to test for Tia. That night the specialist doctor rang me and told me that there wasn't any sign of stroke.

I have finally moved on from this and am happy but have now been sent a letter from the hospital saying they are pleased to offer me an appointment with a neurologist in January. Now I'm like wtf?!?

Could it be a follow up appointment or something worse. It's so far in the future I thought that was all over..

I do suffer migraines so wonder if the doctor referred me

If it's that far away it won't be anything serious. They would call you back ASAP if it was serious!

I would phone your neurologists secretary and ask, it's probably a follow up or a duplicated appointment x

I had an MRI scan a couple of years ago. I went private though (NHS wouldn't refer me as didn't think I needed it!!) so I was seen pretty much the next day. But like the others say, if it was serious, they'd have you back there straightaway. I know how you feel though, it's another thing to dwell on and worry about. Wish I could have another one but don't think my health insurance would pay out for it again just for my peace of mind!

I have MRI scans about every four months and receive letters from my consultant for follow up appointments between one and two months after my scan. They don't rush to see you if it's not urgent so you have nothing to worry about xx.

Thank you guys for some reason i find reassurance more from strangers than loved ones. Probably because we all experience it
