If you're on anticonvulsants too and the Obs are happy for you to get pregnant on those then this will be fine,

It's a caution not a contraindication .

Kim,

This is really a question you need to ask of your GP /epilepsy specialist/ obstetrician so you can make an informed choice with the information they give you.

As you know they really prefer you not to even take simple painkillers for headaches when pregnant and so when they have ladies who are on medication for concurrent conditions they like to go through it all and assess any potential risk .

If you see an epilepsy specialist at all, I would strongly recommend you discuss it first with them and if he feels the need, he can confer with his obs colleagues but he will have seen this combination before and can talk with bags of experience which I cannot in any shape or form as I avoided midwifery like the plague.
