Appointment

So I get home from work yesterday to find a letter from my surgery - OMG, it's my appointment for the breast clinic..... not exactly. Basically they've sent me a letter with a reference & password, a choice of 3 clinics & a number to call to make the appointment myself! WTF!!! I couldn't believe it. I could quite easily chicken out of doing it as I bet so many women do (I won't) but I would much rather they just sent me a letter saying be here on this date! Is this how it works these days or is it just my local NHS trust! x

Yes they give every patient the choice of date and hospital for everything, part of the new nhs constitution...you will be fine Hun, book it get it over with xxxxx

It's standard then. I didn't know how it worked to be honest. I haven't got a problem booking the appointment but I start jury service tomorrow and it's going to have to fit in with that. There is a minimum 2WW so hopefully I can get the appointment as soon as my jury service is finished. Thank you. xxxx
