Pain and lump on throat

I know its my 3. thread but I cant stop myself.Today I wake up with a pain on my throat ( not inside) And now I touch and I feel a painful lump there. I am SOO scared, It can be a swollen lymph node? :weep: :weep:

I'm sure you're okay. It might just be a swollen gland. Normally it's when you have a lump and it's painless that there's more of a worry. Give it a day or two and if it isn't any better go and see your doctor.

We have lots of bumps and lumps on our throats Alessa so I wouldn't worry about it :)

All my family have thyroid problems, (mom,grandma,aunt and 2 uncles)
Can it be related with thyroid?

I don't think so,it is unlikely at your age and you would have other symptoms. Like I said we all have little lumps and bumps in our throat so don't be worried and do something to distract your self.

i have a little lump on my throat/neck and the doctor examined me and said it is a blocked duct and not to worry but don't play with it or touch it as worst way it could lead to an infection which would just need anti biotics. hope that helps.

No it's not painful, but if it's your glands or gland it could be painful.keep calm, I am sure it will ease.

I've just googled and I saw that we dont have lymph nodes on throat. Its definitely my thyroid. My mom had it when she was younger than me. :(

You shouldn't google symptoms as google is not always right. See how it is in a few days and if it is no better see your doctor but I am sure you would have other symptoms if it was your thyroid so I wouldn't worry about that. Ask your Mom she will tell you x

how long it takes a swollen lymph node to dissapear?
Also, I have other symptoms for thyroid, like: I cant gain weight although i eat so much. I lost 2 kilos. I am always anxious. I wont be surprised if doctor tells me I have hyperthyroid
