Im looking for some advice.
In march of this year i saw a man collapse and die in front of me, i had to perform CPR until help arrived.
The day after my face started tingling, it has now spread to my hands, arms, feet and back. It comes and goes all day long and some days it is better than others.
I also get some partial numbness, pain in my ear and eye ache.
I have seen a neurologist and had a clear MRI brain scan, i have also seen an ENT specialist. Both think it is anxiety related. I don't consider myself to be stressful or anxious but they said you dont have to it is your bodies reaction. Sometimes i feel dreadful.
Any help and advice would be great??

That was a really good thing you did to help the man Claire. I was in a similar situation once and I was fine at the time but my anxiety got worse after. Have you been for counselling? I think it may be helpful to you.

Could it be Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? As Annie suggested counselling may help you.

The ENT specialist thinks it is post traumatic stress.
I havent thought about counselling before.
I think the longer it has gone on the more i worry it is something serious, they think it is my body reacting and i have no control.

It does sound like anxiety and likely PTSD. I think counselling is the way forward for you. Your GP should be able to refer you. :hugs:

:welcome: Claire,
It does sound like sensitised nerves, it must of been very stressful and it might of just been the straw that made your nerves say 'no more' and started tingling in that way. Try not to focus on the tingling, acknowledge that it's there but know it is because your nerves are frazzled.
I don't consider myself an anxious or nervy type either, I'm not scared of much but when I've been under continuous stress, and I am a bit of a stresshead, my nerves play a similar trick on me and start tingling and twitching which leads to me panicking. I try to keep doing what I need to do but rest more, eat well and drink lots of water.
Try reading the information on anxiety on this forum if you haven't done so, it may shed some light on why you're getting those symptoms and more importantly what you can do to recover
Take Care
Sam
