Swallowing problem

Hi!

I have this problem from last 1.6 yrs ,will be greatful if anyone can help me .I am unable to swallow. liquid &solid food will not pass from my mouth to throat ,it seems the moment i put anything in my mouth the tongue acts in the oppsite direction and at times tongue is almost tightly pressed to upper part of the mouth.I have been through all the test including Barium,Endoscope and CT scan but all seems to be normal and my problem is as it is .Is it due to anxiety.If anyone having same problem please share your experience with me.

Hi peggy.s, I get this sometimes.

I sometimes get a thing that i can chew the food but when I go to swallow it just will not go down so i have to try to bring it back out again as I start to choke this does also happen to fluid it is a very scary thing.

And like you I would like to know is this part of anxiety.

Hi! Thanks for the reply at least i have one more person travelling on same boat! Well whoever i have consulted ,they its because of stress nothing else but for me i think i can cope up this problem vey well when i am under stress.
