Hi
I am a paranoid mother who checks her childrens' skin for funny moles. If I find a 'funny' one I just monitor it for a few weeks, and if it does not change I leave it alone
No problems but my eldest has just gone to university
He came back for the weekend on Saturday and I noticed a mole which was darker than usual on his thigh. Most of his other moles are brown but this one was darker - almost black. I have a couple of almost black moles myself and they have never changed. It was quite flat and only about 1-2mm. It was regular shaped - oval. It only had one colour.
I am now really stressing because he might not come home for 6 weeks, and what if it turns into melanoma in that time
I feel really silly, but it is stopping me sleeping and I can't confide in my husband as he will think that I am insane.
Any advice please!
