I cannot make myself go to bed, and if I do I can't get to sleep before 4am, usually later. Even if I take my meds, (tmj meds which have a sedating effect) or at least they used to, I am just lying there, continually trying to get comfortable and unable to switch my mind off.

Absolutely sick of it. I don't drink or smoke so it's not that....

I bet 90% of the people on here have had trouble sleeping at some point.
I have been getting some councelling over the last few months, and they have taught me a lot of breathing and relaxation techniques that have helped, but still I toss and turn for hours some nights.
It's unfortunately kind of normal. Exercise in the day helps too, if you have any time for that...
Hope you can find something to help you sleep easier. Look up the calm breathing on the Internet, maybe it could help.

I think sleeping problems are a common thing with anxiety. I have a lot of problems like this - I've recently got into a pattern of sleeping for 2 or 3 hours from 9pm-ish onwards then waking up, going to bed and lying there til 3am/4am before I can sleep again. It's awful and leaves u so drained.
