Hey folks.

I'm a few miles west of Fareham but I'm hoping that you'll forgive me for this and allow me to join the group ;) I've not encountered many members on this site who I would consider live locally, so I'm rather pleased that I've stumbled across this thread.

I'd been thinking about posting for another local meetup - really good to see there's interest again for a local get together. :)

With five of us already interested, shall we go ahead and discuss a date and venue? From past experience of setting these up it's best to crack on with while interest is at it's peak!

How about some pub or coffee outlet in Pompey/Southsea, let's say Saturday 8th or 15th December? - Strike while the iron is hot.

What about meeting up in that pub in edinburgh road where we went on that sauk meet in february 2010? If not, I don't mind where we meet.

@Sandy: You'll have to refresh my memory on the pub we used in Edinburgh Road. We went to a couple of places didn't we, one of them at The Quays too, or am I mixing this up with another meet?

Ahhhh I remember now. Its the trafalgar pub which is part of the JD wetherspoons chain. Yes we did go to gunwharf quays as well!

Reluctantly I won't be able to attend any meetups just yet. I've had to re-start my meds due to a relapse and I'm not in any fit state for going out and socialising just yet. Very bad timing and really really annoying 'cause I was looking forward to getting out and meeting new people.

Really hope to meet you all soon though, hopefully in the not too distant new year.

Thanks Gary! Hope you feel better soon. I think it would be a good idea to prospone it till January or February and get xmas out of the way first. Also im going out for my birthday around that time so im going to need the money. The only date i cannot make is Saturday 9th February as it is my friends engagement party. So just wondered if everyone else is up for a January/February meet up?

hi, im up for meeting up in the portsmouth area, but cant really do the 8th...shall we make it early in the new year, get prepared, get a date set, how about a pub or coffee shop that isnt in the heart of the city? i dont know about you but big busy pubs makes me anxious!!! ironic.

I think most of us would prefer to avoid big busy pubs, that's certainly what I'd choose. A pub with a garden is always a good idea, as is a coffee shop, particularly if they have tables outdoors - weather permitting of course!

Any suggestions?

Hi, i live in Portsmouth is there a group yet? I can't work out from the thread if this is still recent! Anyway looking for like minded people, i have lots of friends but they are becoming bored of my constant "i think i'm dying" conversations! I guess mostly i'm after re-assurance that other people get the same symptoms but because they don't suffer from Health anxiety...they don't! Anyway be great to hear from someone local.
