Hey there
Just keep telling yourself it's only anxiety it really won't hurt me...I usually try and lie down place one hand on my stomach and focus on my breathing whilst repeating the above...think about and/or picture a peaceful scene, like waves gently lapping on the shore, imagine you are there, in the sun, calm and relaxed, drifting off to sleep...you WILL BE OK :hugs: xx

You're welcome. It's awful I know, you have to try to programme your brain to react differently i.e. not feeding the panic, which I am working on...it's not easy but over time it does get better. Are you taking any meds at all? xx

I am, have been on setraline for a good while now and its only in the last few weeks i have noticed the same old feelings creeping back up on me! its horrible...when you have been doing so well you forget just how scary it can be..heart pounding and dizzy, feels like you are falling apart.
trying to work through it, have been passed on to the tom allan clinic, so hopefully talking about it will help me understand whats going on!

I know what you mean, I was on Citalopram for years and was happy as Larry then WHAM the panic returned...knocked me for six! I have just started Sertraline, been on 50mg for 2 weeks and just beginning to feel better. I guess you may need to increase your dose hun, it takes a while to settle and find the right level of meds but you will get there don't worry. I'm here if you need a chat, feel free to PM me xx
