newbie today need advice

morning all
im new to this but googled forums to get some advice and chat to others, i went to docs just over a week ago and i have now been put on to fluoxetine 40mg i have been feeling sick with this sleeping more now im 4 days late on my period, and no signs of it coming,cant eat much, i feel more nervous and dont want to go out and see people i feel paranoid too are these normal side affects, i dont feel normal!!! im due to go back to docs nxt week :ohmy:

Dear sparkle, I had the same side effects, it was terrible. 40 mg is a high dose, I started on 10 mg. Sending you support:)

Having read some of the other posts from people I see these are comon side affects just hope they don't last too long as I can't bare much more of this now u know in the long run it will be ok just fed up of feeling like some kind of strange weirdo :(

I was on 20mg and the doc up't it to 40mg but that was too high for me...did'nt like side effects...Speak to doc. :hugs::hugs:

Been to see doc today and she told me to take 20mg for next 2 weeks and see if symptoms ease, today has been a better day tho for me just hope this is the start of things getting better x
