Last Friday I went into A and E with severe nausea, vomitting, and headaches. The doctors thought I had suffered a brain hemmorhage. I had an emergency CT without contrast that showed no swelling, tumors, or anything of that sort. I was kept in over the weekend for monitoring and then on monday I was given an unsuccessful lumbar puncture. A few days later I was given another one after a CT WITH CONTRAST that showed no anuerysms or anything else. The lumbar puncture was done by a neurosurgeon who nicked a nerve which caused my right leg to spasm.
I was released after they suspected I had viral meninghitis which I did NOT have. Apparently my LP results as well as angiogram, blood tests, and SATS all were fine. My anxiety hasn't changed though. I'm just terrified the LP has given me a subdural hematoma.
I seriously have a problem now even though I have been given concrete evidence of nothing serious. I'm still terrified. It just goes to show how strong anxiety is.
