Hi all, my legs feel weak at the moment. Kinda nervous/like jelly sometimes.

I'm scared because I've been on laxative treatment for two weeks (oversharing, sorry!) and it says it can cause "high or low potassium levels in the blood" which can cause muscle weakness and be quite dangerous apparently because the heart is a muscle.

I'm worried it's a side effect of my medication, but it could just be my anxiety I don't know...

It started a week ago. I developed muscle tension in my face (around my eyes and cheeks) while watching tv, never had that before, I was anxious about it, but it went away. The same day I was out with a friend and did some walking (no more than usual) got home and my legs were exhausted, now they've been weak and jelly like for days. My anxiety is high right now.

Has anyone had this from just anxiety?

Thanks

It is one of the classic symptoms. That said, you should get your potassium levels checked.

What are the risks of this side effect btw, 1/10, 1/100, 1/1000, 1/10,000....?

It should say on the leaflet inside the box.
