hey there..just wnted to introduce myself. I'm Claire and hve suffered anxiety and depression for 3 years now. throughout this time ive been on a few medications (fluoxitine, setraline, citalopram and mirtazipine) from experience citalopram has been by far the best! it really picked up my mood n made life seem bearable again. sertraline caused me to be extremely drowsy to the point i had to give up work and mirtazipine caused me to have awful restless leg syndrome :/ anyway..as my situation stands i was on 40mg of citalopram for the past 18 months and quite frankly am sick of my life and moods being dictated by medicine..therefore i have made the decision to come off all forms of medication by decreasing the dosage over the space of 6 months as recommended by my doctor. so i thought i should join this forum n hopefully get some moral support throughout the next few months from people who may hve already or are experiencing citalopram withdrawal at the the moment :) thanks for taking the time to read this...hope to hear from a few of u soon xxx

You are a very brave lady Claire, but it is good that you are withdrawing from medication with the help of your GP.

I hope we can support you through this.
