Recently when I start running, I've been getting tooth pain in one molar. I've been running daily for a few months now and this just started the past few days. The pain starts as soon as I start running and usually goes away after a mile or 2---or I just stop paying attention to it. It's a dull ache, not a sharp pain. I just had a dental check up about a month ago--no cavities found.

It is possibly the cold air hitting a sensitive part. Try rubbing the gum with some sensodyne toothpaste before you set off.

It may also be a nerve in the root of the tooth as the blood pumps round. That wouldn't show up by examination and even sometimes by X Ray.

I get this but I also have TMJ disorder so for me its probably from the pressure on my jaws (I clench my jaws at night and grind my teeth:wacko:)
