View Full Version : Food and anxiety
I have been doing some research on anxiety and panic attacks. I found a book that talked about trying to cut out certain foods. From memory they were strawberry, melon, bananas, milk, wheat, nuts.
I was wondering what other peoples experience and research has been on food links with anxiety and panic.
Thanks

Not sure if that is true, I find when I eat bananas they lift my mood!!!.
Will have a look,

I've read that nuts and bananas help to increase the production of serotonin (the brains happy drug), but I've also been told to lay off them because they are fattening.

Hi Mims,
Have you seen this page? http://www.healthyplace.com/communities/anxiety/treatment/nutrition_therapy.asp
Bananas should be good for anxiety as they contain potasium.
