Hi all.

The receptionist from my surgery phoned me on Friday to say that my gp wants me to repeat my bloods in 2 to 3 weeks time as there was something a little abnormal. After making a bit of a fool of myself, I managed to speak to a doctor in the practice who told me my red blood cells were small, but my heamoglobin is fine. He has requested heamoglobin electrophoresis and ferritin and after the obligatory googling, am a little more reassured that it is not a 'cancer' issue he is checking me for (cancer is the fear I have). Can anyone give me any advice on how best to get through the next couple of weeks until I can have the test repeated.......as I am stuck in the 'I will be fine' 'no I won't scenario??
Thanks for reading me

Hi Mifta, From my scientific experience, I'd say it's just a vitamin deficiency maybe. (b vitamins springs to mind maybe). It's something easily rectified!

Anything more serious would have been dealt with much more quickly :)
