performing on stage

Wondered if anyone can help. Ive suffered with severe anxiety/panic for years and I am wanting to take 1mg of diazepam tomorrow for a performance. I wondered if this will help my anxious state and stop me from wanting to run off the stage.....I get very nervous before perfoming and my panic always seems to creep up on me half way through a piano piece on stage. Any ideas welcome please...:)

I can't really comment on taking diazepam as have never had it, but when I used to gig regularly, I would always get very nervous before going on, but found once I was onstage and concentrating on the music, then I forgot the nerves and settled down and was fine
