Hello folks

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself.

I have generalised anxiety.

I've just started my second week of Mirtazapine.

I'm also gay and my self consciousness at not being very macho triggers a lot of my anxiety.

I also get a type of pelvic pain which makes my anxiety worse and vici verca.

Welcome to the forum rhusio, I just joined today too.

I've been on Mirtazapine for 5 years, only 15mg, but it does help me sleep, without too much of a hangover effect, I hope it works well for you too.

Thanks Mark, that's reassuring to hear. I've just been increased from 15mg to 30mg because it seemed to wear off by midday. I suppose it takes a while for the body to adjust but thankfully haven't felt too groggy on it.

Crikey, I've just started doubling my Mirtazapine dose to 30mg and felt ludicrously depressed this morning about a failed friendship. I do think the Mirt is having a slightly analgesic effect on my pain but I just hope the antidepressant effect will properly kick in soon :(
