Hi,I Havnt been on for a while and I'm still suffering I've been back and forth to my doctors for over a year now but things just seem to be getting worse the last test I had was an upper abdominal ultrasound and the found a small 10mm by 9mm tumor in my liver my doctor says that it's nothing to worry about because its a non cancerous hemangioma,my question is how can he be so sure that's what it is from just an ultrasound image,any help would be most apreciates x

They can tell from the location , the size and the shape along with many more technical things . Just as i had a non cancerous lump cleared via ultrasound

So just from an ultrasound alone they can distinguish between the two then for certain ?

Hi Seany.

A friend of mine had this - he's alive and kicking. I think if the doctors thought it was in any way dangerous, they would err on the side of caution. I'm sure they know their stuff.
