just threw out old atm card and now im having an panic issue!

Hey everyone.. so i have recently just switched banks for my atm card and so I decided to throw the old one out...

I cut it up a little bit and then threw it out.. i say a little bit because i cant convince myself that i cut it up enough!

needless to say now im very worried.. should i even be worried? i mean heck, i go to a different bank now.. but something still worries me :(

Hi there,

I'd be pretty sure you've done enough to stop your old card being used fraudulently. Besides, hasn't your old account been closed? This is just the sort of thing I worry about but you've done the right thing and it'll be fine.

Even if you didn't cut it right through it still wouldn't work and certainly couldn't be used by anyone without arousing suspicion.

If your old account is closed it makes using it doubly impossible.

You have nothing to worry about.
