View Full Version : Twitching in Right Cheek?
For the last week I've been having strong muscle twitches under my right eye on the cheekbone The twitch happens briefly (5 - 10 seconds) throughout the day. I don't know what's causing it. :(

Well muscle twitching is an anxiety symptom so could be that.
I used to get eye twitching all the time as well

I'm just worried it's high blood pressure or something else. :weep::weep:

I have never heard of it being a side effect of high blood pressure - have you been googling lol?

I was told by one of my friends that it is normally a symptom of high blood pressure. I've refused to consult with Dr.Google ever again. :)

You rarely get symptoms of high blood pressure hence most people do not know they have it

I googled a few reputable sites and it is not listed as a symptom at all

Oh I meant to add that perhaps you can get your blood pressure checked just to reassure you. Some chemists will do it for you

Last time I had it check was about four weeks ago.

Ok and what was it?
Ok and what was it?
I was hospital and they checked my BP every morning, noon, and night. I think it was between 110 - 130 up and down.

ok well if you were in hospital and they checked it then I am sure it is ok.
The bottom reading is important as well but try not to worry about it

I think it was 130 over 90?

Ok the 90 is high. Do you have to go and see the doctor about it and get it checked again?

I can't remember...If it was high they'd tell me. They told me it was fine. I can't remember if it was 40 or 90!

And now I'm horrifically terrified. I'm terrified about my blood pressure now! I was normally between 110/120 over I think 60/70!? Argh. Now I'm panicking again.

I was in the hospital for a week and they monitored my blood pressure daily and they said it was fine? The highest reading I got at one point was 134 over 70 I THINK. I don't remember my readings so I feel like a fool. If it was a problem my doctors would have told me wouldn't they? :scared15:

The best thing to do is pop and see the nurse or doc and ask them to take it so you know what the reading is now.
I get eye twitches, cheek twitches, even mouth twitches sometimes and the twitches last for weeks at a time. The eye twitches are usually a sign that I am either tired or stressed and I don't have high blood pressure. Hope this helps to assure you.
I had twitching on my top lip last week, I think hes down to stress, it lasted for a few days then went, also had my eye does the same, I had lots of adrenaline rushes last week, so i put it down to that x
I checked in with a nurse and asked for a BP reading.
My BP was 114/80. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

It is good
It is good
Apparently my range goes from 110/70 to 130/80. Not relatively smart with the guideline figures.

Has the tingling stopped now?
Yes, it seems to have stopped. I think it's linked to stress. Thankyou all for the support.
