Hi I'm new to this board and hope someone can help.
I have had health anxiety since young child and am now 45 and still suffering!
I have quite a few chronic health conditions which is just great combined with health anxiety.
Since a teenager I have had mid month ovulation pain and have had had scans in past and all is well but as I am approaching that awkward age everything is getting worse.
My ovulation pain has started to occur vaguely from the last day of my period getting worse up to day 12 or 14 whereas it only used to affect me for a couple of days a month. Some months I don't have it.
I have also been experiencing terrible flatulance and feel as if my abdomen is tight .
My Gp did an internal exam and all felt okay but she agreed that pressing on my ovary made it hurt so it was ovulation pain as she did the exam on day 13 of my cycle.
I recently had an abdominal ultrasound of my kidneys, liver, pancreas, gallbladder etc but this did not include a gynie scan.
A distant cousin is undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer and I am convinced that my flatulance, tight abdoment and oulation pain is ovarian cancer.
I see my GP again next week and so want to ask for an ultrasound but I also know she is getting a bit fed up with my constant bi weekly visits to her.
What do I do????
