Fibre Optic Camera Up Your Nose...!!

Hi.
I just wanted to post this message in case it could help anybody.
Yesterday I had to see an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist to find out why my throat hurts and i have problems swallowing. During the examination he used a fibre optic camera which he slid up my nose and down my throat. Now if anybody is due to have this done soon and you are worrying, I am writing here to promise you that it was a doddle!! You have nothing to worry about. The worst you get is a bit of a runny nose afterwards! and whats even better is he said I have nothing wrong..no cancer whatsoever! Just a bit of irritation from acid reflux which will will pass in the future. I hope this helps anybody due to have this procedure.

Did he say it can be caused be anxiety as I have a sore throat on and off?

Hi there. He said it was down to acid reflux but that anxiety can make throats very tender and ten times more likely to hurt. Please dont worry about your throat. Up until yesterday i was in your camp. My throat felt red raw and to swallow was dreadful. So bad at times i was nearly dribbling. Its all anxiety. Its a dreadful thing. I saw your original posting. Your dr would have said somthing if he/she thought there was something wrong. I wish you some positive thoughts and a REALLY good anxiety free day.

I had this in February and was fine until about 2 hours later and then it felt like someone had broken my nose. It was incredibly painful and freaked me out somewhat.

Maybe my specialist wasn't as gentle as yours lol
