HI. IVE ALWAYS BEEN A WORRIER BUT NEVER LIKE THIS. IVE GONE THROUGH A TOUGH FEW YEARS - MAINLY DUE TO VIOLENT BOYFRIEND (WHO IS NOW WELL OUT OF MY LIFE!). IVE JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST HOUSE WHICH HAS BEEN VERY STRESSFUL AND THINGS SEEM TO BE GETTING ON TOP OF ME. IM GETTING WORKED UP ABOUT EVERYDAY THINGS NOW - FEELING DIZZY AND FAINT. I ALSO CONVINCE MYSELF IM GONNA BE SICK THEN THE WORRY ABOUT BEING SICK MAKES ME WORSE. IVE BEEN TO THE DOCTORS - SHE WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE ME THIS WEBSITE - CONVINCED ME THAT THESE PANIC ATTACKS WERE DUE TO STRESS AND ID BE OK SOON. I HOPE THATS TRUE - DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR THE MEANTIME? AND WILL IT PASS?

Hi Louisa,
welcome! I have been a member on this site for a couple of years now and have found it really useful.
Have a good look round here, there are usually many answers to our questions.
As for advice- try not to feed your fears, (easier said than done i know!) and grab a copy of Claire Weekes book, Essential Help for Your Nerves.
Good luck and take it easy,
hugs, kt xx

Hi Lou

Welcome to the Forum! Sounds like you've had a pretty stressful time of it. No wonder its getting to you.

Coming here is a good thing to do because there's always lots of advice and support. Just click on Home and read some of the information there. There's a good self-help section and much reassurance about symptoms.

Lisa.

Hiya

I find that when I over do it my anxiety is a lot worse. We all need to listen to our bodies cos they know what'd best for us. So maybe your is telling you you've got too much going on and you need to do something about it. There's lots of great advice on here do have a good look around and feel free to PM any time,

Take care

Heya Louisa. I worry alot about things like being sick, and worrying about worrying about being sick (!). I try to reassure myself throughout the day that that wont happen. I always have digestion tablets and wind relief tablets and things like that on me so that when I panic and feel like throwing up, I can take something to calm my stomach down. I especially have these with me when I'm out for a while, due to suddenly suffering from motion sickness.

Maybe keeping a pack of Rennies with you to calm your stomach might help? Ahh well, good luck and hope you feel better soon...
